Performance Academy are Small Group Sessions (1 hour)
Foot Skills,One-on-One Games, and More
“The team that wins the majority of the individual duels in a game will win the majority of the games.” – Anson Dorrance
Strong one-on-one skills are a huge asset for a soccer player. Just about every game situation includes individual attacking and defending.1v1 play is at the heart of Coerver® training and instruction. Our Academy programs are designed to focus on Ball Mastery Skills. Academy programs also include technical work each session on striking the ball, to increase power and accuracy with both feet, passing and receiving, and quick decision making!
Who it is for
Players who want to improve their individual technical skills. Academy Programs are for players in ages 7-16 with prior Coerver® experience or Club level that have been evaluated at a Coerver AZ training session. New players typically start at developmental level on day 1 and will be moved as needed. The main difference is the speed with which we teach the moves sets.
Our aim is to develop confident and creative players while teaching essential social skills such as good sportsmanship and respect, in addition to a good attitude to practice and play. The PA is a progressive series of instruction in Ball Mastery, Receiving and Passing, 1v1 Attacking skills, Speed (including the speed of thought), Finishing and Group Play. All this results in improving player’s ball control, 1v1 skills, creativity, speed of play and overall Soccer IQ.
